Gibson General Contracting is a building and remodeling company located in Columbus, Ga. Jimbo Gibson
is the owner and operator of GGC, and has been serving Columbus for over 13 years. He started out
doing maintenance work on rental property while in high school. Jimbo then attended Columbus State
University and began to work on projects that were a little more complexed. After graduation, he hit the
ground running, trying to make new contacts and land bigger and better jobs.
In 2004, Jimbo started working closely with Steve Jenkins. Steve grew up in Iowa and learned about all
aspects of construction from working with several residential and commercial builders in the area. He
moved to Columbus in 2003. Steve was working primarily as a subcontractor, but wanted to expand.
They worked together on almost all of their jobs until October of 2005 when they officially formed an LLC
partnership. Since then, the company has seen steady growth, and our customer base is getting larger by
the job.
Since GGC is a licensed General Contractor, we can do all
aspects of your home remodeling, from flooring to roofing,
with one call. So you don't have to call the roofing company,
the plumber, the sheetrock company, the electrician, etc.
We use a network of people to get each job done, but
Jimbo and Steve still works on every job we take on. We
handle all of the details, and all you have to do is let us know
what you want.
